The peoples and cultures of the world have always had a fascination for me. Only since retirement from the business world have I been able to fully devote my energies to the pleasures of ethnic jewelry, textiles/costume and other folkart.

I come from artistic heritage and training. My parents continually encouraged my exploration of travel, the arts and world cultures, peoples and history.

My husband and I have deliberately sought unusual and exotic destinations, pursuing and observing cultures before they change in response to increasing globalization of our world. This overall travel pursuit has lead us to most continents -- approximately 100 countries and many cultures. My primary focus is ethnic jewelry, textiles/costumes and folkart, and the place it holds in the peoples lives. This fascination has resulted in a growing personal collection.

I now have time to pursue these passions - traveling extensively worldwide acquiring native specimens, studying technique and materials, and fabricating my own, one-of-a-kind jewelry designs. My association with a local folkart museum of international renown has further sharpened my enthusiasm.
